Kaplan as determined as ever.

The fixture was initially scheduled to take place on September 27 but the game was called off after 64 minutes due to inclement weather, with the Eagles leading 1-0 at the time.

19 minutes into Wednesday's game, the hosts took the lead when Kaplan found the back of the net after a lovely back-heel pass from Stefan Milojevic, and ten minutes later, the Slovak doubled his tally by smashing home a second.

Three minutes after the break, the Eagles forward completed his hat-trick and it looked as though his side were set for a routine win.

However, the Bulls refused to give in and pulled one back five minutes after the hour mark, when Hafiz Rahim scored with a neat half-volley, before Iqbal Hussain sneaked in behind the opposition backline and converted a cross at the far post in the 89th minute.

Nonetheless, Geylang ultimately held on for a valuable three points that sees them move seven points clear of bottom-placed Woodlands Wellington.

Gombak, on the other hand, dropped to ninth on the table, behind Hougang United on goals scored.
