Shukor Zailan opened the scoring for the Warriors nine minutes before the break with a cracking effort, before Croatian marksman Mislav Karoglan doubled their lead in the 71st minute when he outjumped his opponent to head home a Tatsuro Inui cross.

However, the Rams refused to give in and pulled one back eight minutes from time when Moon Soon-ho found space and clinically fired into the bottom corner, although SAFFC ultimately held on for all three points.

The result also ended a run of three defeats for Richard Bok's men, after losses to Courts Young Lions, Tanjong Pagar United and Harimau Muda.

Over at the Jalan Besar Stadium, DPMM FC came back from a goal down to beat Young Lions 3-1 and record only their second win in seven games.

Benjamin Kristofferson Lee put the hosts ahead in the 64th minute when he met a Fazli Ayob cross with a glancing header into the bottom corner, but DPMM captain Rosmin Kamis pulled his side level seven minutes later with a delightful freekick.

Basiru Osman then pounced on an error from Emmeric Ong and laid the ball off for Ivan Jerkovic to doubled the visitors' lead, before the result was put beyond doubt in the 85th minute when Sairol Sahari's corner sailed over Syazwan Buhari and straight into goal.

To add insult to injury, Young Lions were reduced to ten men a minute later when Shahfiq Ghani received a straight red for a crude challenge on Jerkovic.
