Wan Zack Haikal, who recently completed a trial with Japanese side FC Ryuku, opened the scoring for Ong Kim Swee's side in the 26th minute, but they were pegged back two minutes after the break when Shahrazen Said equalised for DPMM.

However, there was to be no denying Harimau as they went on to claim all three points in the 87th minute courtesy of a Wan Zaharulnizam strike.

The result was enough to see the Malaysian outfit leapfrog Balestier Khalsa into fifth, while DPMM remain in third, five points behind leaders Albirex Niigata.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Gombak United condemned Woodlands Wellington to a 13th defeat of the season after beating the Rams 2-1 at the Woodlands Stadium.

Singapore international Hafiz Rahim put the Bulls ahead from the spot in the 63rd minute after Julien Durand was brought down inside the area by Ang Bang Heng, in an incident that also saw the goalkeeper receive his marching orders.

And with a man's advantage, Gombak proceeded to double their lead seven minutes from time when Mustaqim Manzur tapped home from close range, although the Rams pulled one back four minutes later when Oswind Suriya netted.
