SAFFC are currently seventh on the table at the halfway mark of the campaign and are already 11 points behind leaders DPMM FC.

The Warriors had an awful start to the year as they went their opening three matches without victory, but after briefly arresting their slump with consecutive wins against Courts Young Lions and Tanjong Pagar United, they went on another three-game winless run, which included losses to Harimau Muda and Balestier Khalsa.

However, they ended the first round of the league campaign positively with three straight 1-0 triumphs and a 2-2 draw with Geylang United, before seeing off Balestier on penalties in the opening round of the RHB Singapore Cup.

Undoubtedly eager to build on the strong form his side have shown lately, Warriors coach Richard Bok has moved to bolster his squad with three new faces, including the signing of Aliff from Tanjong Pagar.

"We managed to do a deal for Aliff," Bok revealed exclusively to "He will be a good catch for us.

"He will bring plenty of experience to the side."

SAFFC have also done deals for Marin Vidosevic, a 26-year-old centre-back and Marin Jonjic, a 21-year-old winger who will be registered with the Prime League side. Both players were recommended to the club by former striker Mirko Grabovac, who scored 143 goals during his five-year spell at the club.

"We've got two players from Croatia," Bok added. "One is a centre-back and the other is a winger.

"The winger [Jonjic] is a young boy who we will be registering as a Prime League player. Bah [Mamadou] will be out for another four to six weeks so it's also timely we've gotten Vida [Vidosevic].

"Hopefully these two guys plus Aliff can gel quickly with the team and with the squad we have now, we can do better in the second half of the season.

The Warriors get their league campaign back underway next Sunday when they entertain Albirex Niigata at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium.
