Having reached 40 points for the season with a draw against Lazio a week ago, Parma already seem to have done the hard work.
But Donadoni wants to leave nothing to chance and is therefore demanding one final push at the Stadio Tardini.
"We need to take to the field with the mentality of a side who wants to win at all costs," he said at a press conference.
"I know that we must have no less determination than we had against Lazio, maybe being a bit more attentive at the back and a bit more incisive up front to take the chances created.
"These are the fundamentals upon which we must try to build victory."
Opponents Atalanta come into the game with the same goals, with just one point separating them from the 40-point barrier.
"We have our destiny in our own hands and, fortunately, we don't have to depend on results from elsewhere," said their coach Stefano Colantuono.
"But we must not underestimate Parma. They are a good side and are going to make us suffer.
"They also want to end all relegation thoughts as soon as possible and we are going to need another super performance, otherwise we are not going to win it."
Colantuono is without the suspended Marko Livaja, meaning Maxi Moralez will partner German Denis in attack.
Nicola Sansone is still not available for Parma, although Donadoni hopes to have him available in midweek.
"It would be stupid to take any risks with him," said the Parma coach. "(Raffaele) Palladino is available and we are delighted to have him back."
