Arnesen urges Bendtner to take a step down
Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen has urged compatriot Nicklas Bendtner to join a smaller club for his career to progress.

Bendtner is currently out of favour at Arsenal and has been sent on loan to Juventus, where he has only made three starts since joining them this season and has yet to score in eight appearances after a calf injury ruled him out for two months.
His situation was exacerbated after being arrested for drink driving, which has led to a ban from the Denmark international team.
Arnesen has urged his fellow Dane to stop thinking about the big teams and join him at Hamburg to re-establish his career.
The former Chelsea director told newspaper Politiken: 'He must take a step down and choose a good club where he can rediscover the joy of playing and play a lot.
'He said no to me twice because he wanted to play in an even bigger club. He must make sure he is always in the best shape and so he should be more humble and think about how he can get the most out of his talent.'
Bendtner famously once scored 10 out of 9 in a self-perceived competence test during his time at Arsenal.
