The Uruguayan has remained fiercely loyal to the Neapolitan outfit and has never indicated an interest in moving away from the club.

However, reports continue to link the player with a move to one of the top European clubs with even his reported €63 million clause not proving to be an obstacle.

The likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City have all been touted as possible destinations but the forward reiterated his desire to stay at Napoli and help them achieve domestic success.

"Real Madrid and Barcelona are two great clubs, amongst the strongest in the world, and it is obvious that they are attractive," the striker told Gazzeta dello Sport.

"The tension rises just when you name those two sides. However, I honestly don't know whether there is the option to join one of those.

"I know nothing about Arsenal's interest though. I have only heard about it now.

"I'm living the highest point of my career with Napoli and I want to concentrate on fighting for the scudetto. Along with my team-mates, we want to give a dream for our people.

"And I still have four years left on my contract. You never know what will happen in football, but I just work on a day by day basis to get the best."

Napoli are currently three points behind league leaders Juventus and have kept pace with the Bianconeri the entire season.
