Galliani: Kaka deal was unthinkable
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani gave a firm figure for Kaka's signature - €18 million - but declared that it was too much to ask for the Brazilian playmaker.

Los Merengues signed the former Ballon d'Or winner for a mammoth €68m transfer fee in 2009 but he has failed to secure a regular starting berth in Jose Mourinho's side.
Last month, negotiations had begun after weeks of speculation linking the player with a return to the Serie A and it appeared the Rossoneri were on the verge of bringing an end to Kaka's time in Spain.
However, Galliani abruptly ended all talks and declared that a suitable financial package could not be reached in order to facilitate the player's transfer.
It is believed that Milan wanted to sign the player on loan for the duration of the current season with a view to snap him up for a cut-price sum in the summer. Madrid, on the other hand, wanted an immediate sale in a bid to recoup as much of the sum paid for the Brazil international as possible.
Galliani has decided to publicly announce the sum being bandied about as he told Corriere dello Sport: "Real Madrid wanted €18 million - a figure that given his age and salary demands made a deal frankly unthinkable."
He declared, not for the first time, that he is not interested in signing the 30-year-old midfielder.
"The story about Kaka is a closed chapter for me," he concluded.
Instead, Milan signed Mario Balotelli from Manchester City for an estimated €19m deal just a couple of days before the closure of the January transfer window.
