The Chilean manager's career seems to have completed a remarkable turnaround since being fired by Real Madrid in 2010.
He helped Malaga qualify for their first ever Champions League campaign last season and has ensured a brilliant start within the continental competition as they have topped their group ahead of the likes of AC Milan and Anderlecht.
Even in La Liga, Malaga have been strong and are in fourth place, ahead of the likes of Sevilla, Athletic Bilbao and Valencia.
It appears that Pellegrini's excellent managerial capabilities have not gone unnoticed as a host of European clubs have enquired as to his availability.
“Several foreign clubs have already made important offers for Pellegrini,” agent Jesus Martinez told Chilean daily El Mercurio.
“Inter also made enquiries to understand the current situation, although they never went so far as to make a direct offer.
“Other clubs tested the waters, but knowing that he has a contract with Malaga, the approaches were tepid."
Martinez believes that Pellegrini will not leave the club despite its well-publicised financial and boardroom struggles over the summer.
“His intention is to stay at Malaga, although the economic uncertainty could see the club project change.
"The club is dealing with their financial problems and Manuel is under contract till 2015 and we intend to respect it."
Rumours of a January sale of the club's key players have gathered much currency within the Spanish media and Martinez added, "I don't know about the team but there is some concern."
Malaga are currently fourth in the La Liga table and face Getafe on Saturday night. They will finish their participation in the Champions League group stages with a final group C fixture against Anderlecht next week.
