Robinho has endured a frustrating season thus far and has seen Milan struggle in the Serie A following the departures of star duo Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva.
Furthermore, the striker appears a far removed player from the one that set the La Liga alight during his time at Real Madrid.
Reports in the Italian media seem to indicate that the Brazilian could be the next high-profile Milan player to force an exit and Neymar feels it'd be in his compatriot's best interest to join former club Santos.
"I am biased because he [Robinho] is my idol," Neymar told Xinhua."To have an idol back at the club would be something special.
"If the fans want him then I want him here too. But ultimately it's the president [Luis Alvaro Ribeiro] who decides.
"I always want the best players to come to Santos, the doors are always open to good players."
Robinho has completed two years from his four-year contract and has only managed one goal for the Rossoneri from nine appearances in all competitions this season.
