The Rossoneri have suffered a wretched start to their season so far, managing only to pick up seven points from their first eight Serie A games and they currently languish in 15th in the league table.
Milan suffered yet another loss in midweek, this time in their Champions League clash with Malaga and Allegri has expectedly come under immense pressure as he tries to turn things around for the struggling club.
Things are not going to get any easier for the San Siro outfit on Saturday when they take on Genoa but Allegri is confident that his side has the qualities to beat the Gli Salami, although the 45-year-old acknowledges that their opponents will be difficult to break down.
"Tomorrow is a game to win," Allegri was quoted as saying by the official AC Milan website.
"Delneri is an excellent coach in defence and we'll have to be extremely patient and take to the pitch knowing that we have 100 minutes to get the win.
"We can't be too frenetic and we'll have to play simple football.
"We need to be more lucid in the final third and I'm sure we'll get out of it.
"The players believe in what they're doing on the pitch and I'm sure that we'll get the win tomorrow [Saturday]."
Despite their dismal run of results, Allegri revealed that he had no problems in general with way his side were playing and claimed that he was pleased with the attitude of his players.
"So far we've made a lot of mistakes and we haven't been precise enough.
"At Malaga as well the game was positive at the back and up front we were a bit imprecise, we have to improve on that.
"The team's performances have been comforting and we have to persevere with what we're doing.
"I have no complaints about my players characters, sometimes, some decisions can help to shake things up a bit."
Milan will overtake 10th placed Genoa in the table if they manage to record a victory over them at the San Siro on Saturday.
