Milan have come under intense pressure after the Italian giants only managed to pick up seven points from their first seven games in the Serie A this season.

Their latest defeat, a 1-0 loss to arch-rivals Inter Milan, was especially frustrating for fans of the Rossoneri, and although Bojan understands how the fans feels, he has asked them to be a little more patient and believes the club will soon start picking up the wins as the season progresses.

"We know the situation is not a good one but we didn't deserve to lose the derby," Bojan was quoted as saying by the official AC Milan website.

"In other games as well, we did well without getting the points.

"We need to be more attentive during the important moments of the games and we have to stay on the road that we're on.

"I don't think the league table shows the work that we're doing. Milan is a top three team and we are Milan.

The 22-year-old also revealed he was grateful to coach Massimiliano Allegri for believing in him despite his constant struggles with injuries.

"When I arrived at the club I had some physical problems but I'm better now," Bojan added.

"I thank the coach for the faith he showed in me for the three games that I've started."

Currently on loan from Roma, Bojan has been played as a traditional striker in the current Milan set-up and is already relishing the opportunity to play upfront with fellow striker Alexandre Pato, who is currently on the way back from injury.

"I've no problem playing a striker as that's the role I played when I was growing up and also for Barcelona," Bojan revealed.

"I'm happy with Pato's return, he's one of the best forwards I've ever played with although it's up to the coach if we play together or not".

Allegri has come under fire for the club's dismal results and speculation has been circulating around linking former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola with Allegri's job but Bojan has backed the 45-year-old to turn things around.

"For me, he's a great coach.

"He's not the problem and of course it's not for me to say if he should stay or go.

"Guardiola? I won't talk about other coaches out of respect for Allegri"

Milan will travel to the Stadio Olimpico to take on Lazio in their next Serie A fixture.
