Manager Antonio Conte was banned from FIGC-sanctioned matches for 10 months after they found him guilty of his involvement in the Scomessopoli match-fixing scandal back when he was managing Siena.

Despite the bad news, Buffon insists that morale at the club is still high and it's better than last season, if anything.

"It is a different environment with respect to last year. There is more positivity and belief around the place," he told the official Juventus website.

The goalkeeper then went on to discuss his side's Champions League ambitions, and stressed they will employ a similar approach to what helped them to Serie A glory undefeated last campaign.

"As far as the Champions League is concerned, we will face it with the same approach shown in the league just a few months ago."
