Damiao is currently one of the best players plying his trade in Brazil and both Tottenham and Inter Milan were reported to be interested in his services last year.
And while he has gone off the radar slightly in recent times, his agent Stefano Castagna has revealed Milan are keen on signing him to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has since left the club for ambitious French side Paris St-Germain.
"It was just an exploratory meeting, a quick chat," Castagna told Ilsussidiario.net. "There is no move for Damiao right now, even though Milan like the player.
"We will see in the future if they will want to have further talks. We did not talk about figures - it was not a negotiation.
"I do not know when and if Milan will launch a move for Damiao."
The 22-year-old made his debut for Internacional in 2010 and has earned nine caps for Brazil.
