Juventus went undefeated last season as they claimed their first Scudetto since being relegated to the Serie B in 2006 in spectacular fashion but Marotta warned that the hard work is merely beginning for the Bianconeri with everyone seeking to inflict a defeat on them.

"We need to put the previous celebrations to one side. We now start from scratch," Marotta told reporters.

"We're the team to beat, everyone will give their all against us and we'll need to have more desire than the others.

"The new season has got off to a good start during pre-season in Chatillon-Saint-Vincent, a place that takes us back in time. Juventus built many important successes here and we'll look to emulate them."

Juventus have reinforced their squad with the likes of Sebastian Giovinco, Kwadwo Asamoah, Mauricio Isla and Lucio and are still seeking the services of a striker in preparation for their first appearance in the Champions League since 2009.

They will begin their campaign in the Supercoppa Italia against Napoli on August 11.
