The Uruguay international has been strongly linked with a move away from Inter this summer.
Forlan joined the Nerazzurri from Atletico Madrid last summer but failed to make much of an impact in his first season in Serie A having struggled with form and fitness.
Reports in Italy have linked Forlan with a move to Brazil, with several clubs, including Atletico Mineiro keen to acquire his services.
"For the time being there is no negotiation with any club," Forlan's father Pablo Forlan told www.fcinternews.it.
"As it is right now, he will remain at Inter. He has one year left in his contract with the Nerazzurri club."
The 32-year-old scored two goals in 22 appearances for Inter as they finished sixth in Serie A.
