The 43-year-old was present when PSG defeated Tolouse 3-1 on Saturday night at the Parc des Princes, where former teammates Leonardo and Carlo Ancelotti are holding roles as sporting director and manager respectively.

Leonardo previously raised the possibility of Maldini joining Ancelotti's backroom staff in an interview with Canal.

He said: "Maldini has come because he is curious. Could he be integrated into the PSG staff? He is already close to us.

"His vision of football is really complete. I'm not saying he will work with us. He will calmly sort out his future himself but he will certainly stay close to us."

Maldini himself is not denying the possibility of joining his former teammates at Paris.

He said on L'Equipe: "I was among friends. I felt right at home.

"I always said I was ready to consider any proposals in the world of football but I have not offered myself to anyone and I never will."

Maldini has previously turned down an offer from Ancelotti to join him as part of Chelsea's coaching staff back in 2009.
