Ferrara praises Juve coach Conte
Former Juventus defender Ciro Ferrara believes his old captain Antonio Conte deserves credit for the impact he has made at the club.
Conte was hired at the start of this season and has guided the Bianconeri to the top of the Serie A, where they currently sit on 34 points, ahead of defending champions AC Milan due to their better head-to-head record.
The 42-year-old coach has previously tasted success with Juve as a player, having won five Scudetto titles, one Italian Cup and one Champions League crown, all of them alongside Ferrara.
And Ferrara, who had a fairly unsuccessful season in charge of the Bianconeri believes Conte has done extremely well to return the club to the summit of Italian football.
"What Conte has done in his short career is in full view of everyone," Ferrara told Tuttosport.
"He was twice won promotion to Serie A [with Bari and Siena] and he has made an impression with his desire, commitment and determination.
"He is confirming his ability with Juventus and I'm happy. The Bianconeri have returned to the level that they should be competing at."
Juventus are back in action on January 8 when they travel to face Lecce.
