Milan have indicated that they are keen to take the Argentinian striker on loan to the San Siro in January, but Manchester City are adamant that their former skipper will only leave the club on a permanent basis.
However, the Rossoneri are willing to wait until the final day of the transfer window for Manchester City to offload Tevez, who hasn't played for City since falling out with the manager Roberto Mancini over his non-appearance in the Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich in September..
Milan are currently in the market looking for a striker after Antonio Cassano undwerwent minor heart surgery in November and was ruled out for the rest of the season.
Galliani confirmed Milan's intentions on signing Tevez, but insists that they are not looking to sign anybody else at the moment.
He told Sky Sport 24: "It's a difficult time economically, but we'll try to give our fans a Christmas gift. Maxi Lopez? I told Tevez to wait until the end of the market. So if he does not arrive we will remain the same.
"I think Tevez will suffice, because if Cassano had not had his problems, we would not be in the market."
Tevez is currently at home in Argentina and has been photographed playing golf on a number of occassions, even winning a pro-am tournament.
