20-year-old Juan is currently regarded as one of Brazil's finest young talents, and was a member of the national side that recently won the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Most comfortable playing in the centre of defence, but equally adept on the left, Juan looks a perfect addition to the Inter defence.
The ageing legs of Walter Samuel, Lucio and Christian Chivu have been regularly exploited by opposition attacks this season, and an injection of pace would be welcome at the Giuseppe Meazza.
For now, it looks like the Nerazzurri have set their sights on Juan, who reveals Inter have made no secret of their interest in his services.
"I know that Internacional will be in contact with Inter, but I do not deal with these things personally, I consider these with my agent," Juan said, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
A fee of €6million has also been mentioned by the publication as the fee Inter wil offer the Brazilian club for Juan's services.
Inter are currently 17th in the Serie A standings, and have already conceded 13 goals in six games, the worst defensive record in the whole league.
