Napoli still hungry for more success

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has declared that the club is still capable of more success following their 3-1 triumph over AC Milan.

The Uruguayan hitman strikes again!

The Naples-based club are chasing their first Scudetto since the legendary Maradona appeared for them and look as close as ever to achieving it after their third-place finish in the Serie A last season.

The club's outspoken president feels that they must not rest on their laurels if they want to go full tilt in the title race. He used an analogy to describe their situation.

De Laurentiis was quoted on La Gazzetta dello Sport as saying: "With Milan we had a nice dinner, but we're still hungry."

Staying on his theme of food, De Laurentiis also felt that his club deserved better in terms of the television rights negotiated pre-season.

He continued: "It's just a shame that I have to say once again that in the league this summer we thought only of litigation and dividing up a very meagre slice of the pie. We sold off television rights and images cheaply,".

Napoli will play their third game in eight days when they line up against Chievo on Wednesday after travelling to play Manchester City last Thursday and hosting AC Milan over the weeekend.

De Laurentiis feels that rotating the squad would be a prudent move in the rather thinsquad.

He added:  "Against Chievo we will have to make one or two changes because there are so many matches and we will need to rotate to put out our best team. I hope to see a great Napoli," he said.
