Zamparini did not disclose which club the 22-year-old midfielder is set to join but Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have been strongly linked to the player in recent weeks.
Pastore is hot property in European football and other clubs including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Roma, Manchester City, Inter and AC Milan have also been mentioned as possible targets in the past.
"I will only speak after the sale. We are closing, it's just a matter of hours," Zamparini told Sky Sport Italia.
Vice-president Guglielmo Micciche appeared to confirm Zamparini's comments after he told Calciomercato.it that "talks were in place".
"Zamparini who is dealing with them. Paris and London are both nice cities," he was quoted as saying.
Palermo are understood to be holding out for at least €45 million for Pastore.
