Del Piero close to Juve decision
Juventus skipper Alessandro Del Piero is close to making a decision on his future at the club.
The legendary Juve player has been at the club for 18 years but is out of contract at the end of the season.
The 36-year-old has confirmed that talks are ongoing over an extension for next season, although he is not yet certain whether he will sign a new deal.
"Things depend on the two parties," Del Piero told Sky Italia.
"I think everything will be decided in a short time and there will be an announcement from the club.
"I am not certain of staying, otherwise I would already have a contract, but my priority is certainly Juventus.
"They have been my history and I don't think I'd be able to play for another Italian side, so I hope to find an agreement to stay."
Del Piero joined Juve from Padova in 1993 and is currently the club's highest-ever goalscorer.
In October last year, Del Piero scored the record breaking179th goal to fire Juve to a 2-1 victory against Milan in the San Siro.
