Osvaldo was Southampton’s record signing when he joined the club from Roma in 2013 but following a training ground altercation with club captain, Jose Fonte, he was sent out on loan to Juventus for the second half of the season.
It is not the first time the forward has found himself in trouble,??he was kicked out of Italy’s squad during the 2013 Confederations Cup for insulting his club coach at Roma.
The incident at Inter – who he joined in August – involved forward Mauro Icardi, before Osvaldo was suspended for not appearing at training for two days.??
He said: “If everything goes the right way, I’m fulfilling my life’s dream. I know Boca well and I am enthusiastic. For someone like me, who used to follow Boca as a supporter, this is a dream.”
The 29-year-old is rumoured to be the highest paid footballer in Argentina based on his contract with Boca. A brief statement on Inter’s website said the deal had been made ‘in agreement with Southampton’.
