Despite being the most successful side in Singaporean football, 2013 has been a year to forget for the Warriors in V. Selvaraj's first season as a top-flight coach, and they entered the weekend's clash at the Queenstown Stadium second from bottom.
However, things certainly looked good for them when they took the lead in the 37th minute after Sufian Anuar created a goal out of nothing by sending a strike into the top corner, but it took the Jaguars just a minute to equalise; Asraf Rashid slotting home from close range after Hafiz Nor's shot had been deflected into his path.
And eight minutes after the hour mark, Hafiz got a goal of his own to make it 2-1, which ultimately proved enough to complete the comeback and hand Tanjong Pagar all three points.
In Saturday's earlier kickoff, Harimau Muda are up to fifth on the table after picking up their third successive home win by beating Woodlands Wellington 2-0 at the Pasir Gudang Corporation Stadium.
In-form striker Ridzuan Abdunloh opened the scoring for Razip Ismail's charges in the 13th minute with his sixth goal of the season, before Yazid Zaini added a second a minute before the half-hour mark to seal the win.
