After finishing second from bottom last season, the Jaguars hierarchy made the move to reinvigorate the club by replacing ex-coach Terry Pathmanathan with Frenchman Patrick Vallee, who led the now-defunct Etoile to the league title in their debut campaign, as well as the Singapore League Cup.
In a bid to boost his playing stocks, Vallee appears to have opted for the familiar after the club announced the signing of three of his compatriots on their official Facebook page on Wednesday.
Leading the way is 31-year-old attacking midfielder Kamel Ramdani, who spent the last two years plying his trade with Paris in the Championnat National - the French third division.
Also joining him at the Queenstown Stadium are Aurelien Herisson, a 22-year-old goalkeeper who was born in Brazil, and forward Ismael Benahmed.
