Having gone the entire first round without losing a game at home, Vjeran Simunic's charges saw that impressive run end back in June when SAFFC beat them 2-1, before Harimau Muda became the second team to win at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium last Sunday by the same scoreline.
However, DPMM did look like they were geting back to winning ways on Saturday after taking the lead through a stunning strike by Shahrazen Said from outside the area in the 48th minute.
Nonetheless, Gombak were given a way back into the game four minutes later when Shahrulrizal Abd Rahman was given his marching orders after conceding a foul inside the area, but Mustaqim Manzur spurned the opportunity after watching Wardun Yussof save his effort.
But with a numerical advantage, the Bulls gradually gained the ascendancy and eventually got the equaliser in the 80th minute through Obadin Aikhena, after they had been awarded a second spot-kick.
The result also means that DPMM, regarded by many as genuine title contenders early on in the season, have now just picked up four points from their last six games.

Over at the Toa Payoh Stadium, Balestier Khalsa made it three games without defeat in the league after recording a 2-0 triumph over Courts Young Lions.
South Korean striker Kim Min-ho opened the scoring in the 41st minute, before Patrick Paranjody wrapped up the points by grabbing a second four minutes from time with a looping header that sailed beyond the reach of Syazwan Buhari.
The game was however marred in injury-time by an ugly tussle between Balestier's Poh Yi Feng and Young Lions winger Sherif El-Masri, who were both handed their marching orders by Ahmad A'Qashah.
