SAFFC became the first team to beat DPMM FC at home this season on Saturday as they recorded a 2-1 win over the Great Eastern-YEO's S.League leaders.

The Warriors opened the scoring in the 15th minute through Singapore international Fazrul Nawaz, only for Adi Said to equalise three minutes after the half-hour mark.

However, there was to be no denying SAFFC as a Subhi Abdilah own-goal ensured they went on to claim all three points and bounced back from last week's heartbreaking 4-3 loss to Albirex Niigata.

Elsewhere on Saturday, defending champions Tampines Rovers pulled level with DPMM at the top of the table after a dominant 3-1 win over Balestier Khalsa, although they remain second on goal difference.

Sead Hadzibulic opened the scoring in the third minute when he delicately controlled a Jamil Ali cross and fired in from close range, before Ruhaizad Ismail equalised for the Tigers with a first-time volley that Stags goalkeeper Sasa Dreven should have done better to keep out.

Nonetheless, Tampines regained the lead ten minutes before the break through Jamil, before Hadzibulic made sure of the victory when he nodded home his side's third off a Ahmad Latiff Khamarudin cross.

On Friday, Home United got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win over Gombak United at the Jurong West Stadium, although they were slightly fortunate to come away with all three points after their opponents missed several excellent scoring opportunities.

The hosts went ahead midway through the first half when Mustaqim Manzur fired past Nazri Sabri after a neat one-two with Hafiz Rahim, but Frederic Mendy levelled matters in the 38th minute with a strong header, before Indra Sahdan Daud came off the bench to grab a winner shortly before the hour mark.

Thursday's action saw Albirex continue their recent good form with a 2-0 win over Tanjong Pagar United courtesy of goals from Masatake Sato and Kunihiro Yamashita, while basement club Geylang United held fellow strugglers Woodlands Wellington to a 1-1 draw.
