Following a goalless first half at the Jurong East Stadium, the White Swans edged ahead when Bruno Castanheira found the back of the net seven minutes after the break.
However, the visitors pulled level in the 69th minute through a Sufian Anuar strike, before Mislav Karoglan notched his 11th goal of the campaign six minutes from time to hand them all three points.
But just good measure, Singapore international Shi Jiayi netted from close range in the final minute to cap off a fine display from Alex Weaver's charges.
The result meant the resurgent Warriors have now won their last three matches, while Albirex are winless in their last eight.
The Japanese outfit will lose any hope of winning the title if Tampines Rovers win their next game, after the defending champions moved 14 points clear at the top of the table with just five matches remaining after a commanding 3-1 win over Tanjong Pagar United at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
The Stags got off to a dream start when Seiji Kaneko headed them in front in the seventh minute, before Jamil Ali doubled their tally from close range barely a minute later.
Tanjong Pagar did manage to pull one back in the 24th minute when Kamel Ramdani scored from a penalty, but the Frenchman saw a second effort from 12 yards kept out by a brilliant save from Andre Martins in the 88th minute.
And just a minute later, Vitor Ladeiras drilled home a third to wrap up the win for Tampines.
