The La Liga champions are rumoured to be in the market for a central defender, with Paris Saint-Germain's Silva heading their list of targets.
A victorious Confederations Cup campaign with Brazil has seen the 28-year old's stock rise over the summer and his current employers have been quick to declare that they are not interested in selling him.
However, Adriano told RAC1 that Silva dreamed of turning out for Barcelona.
"He told me if he could come to Barcelona would be a dream, he has always wanted to wear the Barca shirt, we are friends and I talk a lot with him," he revealed.
"His arrival would be very good news if Barca signed him."
The full-back urged Tito Vilanova and the club's board to secure Silva's services, in a move he believed would suit all parties involved.
"If it were up to Thiago, he'd be here. But it doesn't just depend on him. PSG have also invested heavily in him and, if Barca want him, they need to find an agreement with the club," Adriano pointed out.
"We had more injuries last year than other seasons but these things happen. Whomever comes in to help us will be a welcome addition."
