Pedro has paid attention to all the rumours that have linked Neymar with a move to either Barcelona or arch-rivals Real Madrid.
Neymar has remained understandably reticient about a transfer and has repeatedly declared his happiness at current club Santos. Nevertheless, it is widely believed that the 20-year-old, tipped by many to become one of the world's best in the future, will make a high-profile switch to Europe sooner than later.
When questioned as to the likelihood of Neymar joining the Nou Camp outfit, the Spaniard cheekily commented on Esports COPE, "We know he could come here. You can never tell if he'll fit in. But what's definite is that he's one of the best in the world and that he deserves to be at the best team in the world."
Barcelona currently have a 16-point lead over Real in the La Liga and comfortably reached the last-16 of the Champions League where they will face AC Milan.
The Spanish international commented that despite the statistics posing a rosy picture, his side are still keen on securing maximum points in all their outings.
"The league is looking good at the moment because of the gap we've opened up. We're going to try and ensure that it doesn't close so we can win the title. The team is as ambitious as ever."
The free-scoring midfielder has not registered a goal since Barcelona's first game of the season against Real Sociedad. He admitted that his goal drought was beginning to concern him although he is trying to stay focused on helping his team-mates in whatever way he can.
"I've had a bad phase because I haven't scored for a long time. The most important thing is to remain calm, help my teammates and ensure the team keeps winning," he continued.
"I need to keep working because I'm sure the goal will come one day.
"I'm happy to be here with Barça. The club has always trusted in me. I feel very valued and loved."
Barcelona return to regular action with a game against Córdoba for their Copa del Rey Round of 16 second leg next week, having won the first leg 2-0 last month.
