Real Madrid's Kaka stated that he has a 'professional' relationship with coach Jose Mourinho, even as has had to deal with less playing time than desired this season.

The Brazil international has struggled to establish himself as Mourinho's first-choice creative midfielder with the likes of Mesut Ozil and Luka Modric being preferred ahead of him.

It is believed that the ex-Chelsea coach does not see Kaka as being fast enough to help Madrid initiate a playing style dependent on swift counter-attacks.

Moreover, the fiercely independent Portuguese does not like senior club officials influencing his team selection and appears to have chosen to bench Kaka to express his displeasure at the regular interference common within the Santiago Bernabeu.

Regardless of the reasons, however, Kaka insists that he's happy to be a part of the Real Madrid setup and intends to see out his contract with the club. And he stated that he has no qualms over Mourinho's decision-making either.

"I have a contract with Madrid for two and a half years, I hope to stay because I am happy and enjoy my football here," he told El Diario in an interview.

"My relationship with the coach is professional, I respect his decisions. We have competition in this group and that is normal.

"Mesut Ozil is a player who I respect as a companion, a player and a friend. And that's what the competition is like at a great club like Madrid.

"I can contribute my technical skills, and my experience and maturity now too.

"I have had ten years of professional contribution but believe I can give more for Real Madrid and Brazil."

The former AC Milan midfielder has only featured for 300 minutes this season for Los Merengues over seven matches so far.
