Although Real Madrid lie just three places behind Barcelona in the league table, the Catalans hold a commanding eight point lead over Jose Mourinho's squad.

Camacho told Marca that Los Blancos players must pray for Barcelona to slip up if they are to have any chance of retaining the title this season.

"Madrid are not Real Madrid's problem. Their problem is that Barcelona are around, and that they have some spectacular players," he said.

"It will not be easy to make up eight points. That's three games. It's nearly impossible unless Barca somehow collapse. Barcelona will obviously have a few problems, but they even win when they struggle."

Players from both teams are also in the running for the Ballon d'Or, and while many have backed Real's Cristiano Ronaldo to finally edge out Lionel Messi for the award, the former left-back revealed that his vote went to Andres Iniesta.

"I have voted for Iniesta, ahead of Casillas and Xavi. The best players are Spanish, right," Camacho shared.
