Playing a vital role in the club's La Liga success last season, Ronaldo picked up where he left off by scoring in the team's Supercopa win over Barcelona recently and notched two more in their league victory against Granada.

The Portuguese refused to celebrate his brace and declared to reporters after the game that he was "sad because of a professional issue" he faced with Real Madrid. Although Ronaldo did not elaborate on the cause of his unhappiness, Iniesta believes the Los Blancos winger should have taken a more respectful approach in seeking change.

"Sometimes I have felt unfair things but my personality or my respect for my team-mates or coaches, or the education I had always made me wait for my chance and have confidence that in the future better things appear," he said on El Larguero

"I never thought to get out in the media and crack, things would change. If you work well in the end, it all comes back. You must always try to think in general, globally, not just in a particular situation."

Edging out Ronaldo for the UEFA Best Player in Europe award recently, Iniesta advised the former Manchester United player to put his head down and work harder to achieve his aims.

"There are times when you are wrong but you must do your part to be better. Moments when things do not go well or you're not playing well, there has to be calm, think about the team and better times to come," he stated.

"We've all gone through times like this."

Real legend Roberto Carlos shared his belief that Ronaldo might have grown disillusioned with life in Spain, after constantly living in the shadow of the likes of Iniesta and Lionel Messi.

"I think Cristiano is annoyed because of the European best player award that Iniesta won, I would tell Cristiano to just play like he knows how. He may not want to celebrate, but the fans still will," he said to Radio Marca.

Real Madrid travel to Sevilla, while Barcelona host Granada for their upcoming La Liga fixtures.
