Atletico warmed up for the match in fine style on Monday evening as they cruised to a 4-0 win over Athletic Bilbao, the team they beat in the last season's Europa League final to book their place in Friday's match against the reigning UEFA Champions League holders.
Falcao, who plundered 36 goals in all competition for the Rojiblancos last term in his debut season with the club, grabbed a hat-trick against Bilbao and insists his side are high on confidence ahead of their meeting with the Barclays Premier League outfit.
"I am very happy with the game we just won," the Colombia international told AS. "Our play during the victory was overwhelming.
"I have always said I [am] happy with Atletico Madrid, and now want want to exceed the number of goals I managed in my first season in Spain.
"The team is happy and well, and we will be going to try and win the Super Cup this Friday."
Falcao, who was previously linked with a move to Chelsea when they were managed by his ex-coach Andre Villas-Boas at the start of last season, moved to the Vicente Calderon a year ago from Porto for a fee of €40million.
