Archanco named Osasuna president
Miguel Archanco Taberna has been voted in as the new president of Osasuna.
The 60-year-old lawyer takes over from Patxi Izco, who had been in charge of the Navarran club since 2002.
Archanco, who served on the board alongside Izco, defeated rival candidate Javier Zabaleta by 3,020 votes to 1,002 giving him over 75% of the vote.
Much of the election campaign had centred around the state of the club's perilous finances and the success of the academy, but both men had committed to retaining Jose Luis Mendilibar as coach after he guided Los Rojillos to their highest league finish since 2006 last season.
Archanco is expected to be officially presented on Thursday.
