Equally comfortable at left-back as he is in a left midfield position, Alba has impressed for Valencia this season. Transfer speculation linking the player with a move to Barcelona has continued to mount since the conclusion of this year's La Liga campaign, and a good showing for Vicente Del Bosque's Spain at Euro 2012 would only serve to bolster his growing reputation.

Playing on the right for the Catalan giants, Alves has come up against the Los Che player several times, and the Brazilian admits that Alba is an exciting prospect.

"We have faced him and yes, he is very good," Alves said to Mundo Deportivo.

The majority of Barcelona's squad were produced by their world-renowned youth academy, where players are trained in the club's distinctive style of possession-based attacking football. One of the few players in the first team not to emerge from La Masia, Alves slotted into the squad effortlessly because of his preference for offensive play, and the former Sevilla defender believes Alba will be able to do the same.

"All players who offer something different are welcome and I think that Jordi is a player who brings with him speed, audacity and the Barca style. He could fit into our game because our full-backs are so attacking," Alves shared.
