The Brazilian joined Los Che midway through last season and managed to make 14 appearances but this year, he has established himself as a key member at the Mestalla and scored 19 goals in all competition.
Jonas managed to displace Aritz Aduriz from the Valencia starting XI and displayed a very good understanding with captain Roberto Soldado in attack, and the player himself admits he is loving life at the club.
"I am very happy here," the 28-year-old told SporTV. "Things are going the way I wanted them to, maybe even a little better."
Jonas also believes La Liga is richer for the rivalry that Barcelona ace Lionel Messi and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo have, after both players annihilated goalscoring records this season.
"I had only previously seen the two of them on TV, but to stand alongside them now will live in my memory forever," he added.
"The rivalry between them is what makes this championship so beautiful."
Messi scored 70 goals in all competition, and while Ronaldo finished with ten less, he managed to help Real to their first La Liga crown in four years.
