Alves: I have great rapport with Messi
Barcelona's Dani Alves believes the team have benefited from a strong understanding between himself and Lionel Messi.
Messi has hit the back of the net numerous times for Barcelona this season, with Alves often the player assisting him. The Brazilian told Globoesporte that the two clicked from their very first meeting.
"Since the first contact we had with one another, we have had a very good friendship,the most important thing is the kind of person he is." Alves shared.
"I've had the pleasure of meeting his family, which consists of humble, working-class people."
Alves claims the chemistry between himself and Messi has been evident in their on-field exploits for the Catalan club this season.
"This rapport has also produced results on the field of play. What we have done together has greatly helped our team. " the full-back stated.
"We have no need to even look up as we already know where one another are!"
Barcelona will host Athletic Bilbao in their La Liga fixture tomorrow [Saturday].
