Sociedad vs Atletico Madrid Preview

Real Sociedad captain Xabi Prieto has warned Atletico Madrid they face a tough task if they want to take points away from Estadio Anoeta on Saturday.

The Basques are on a good run of form having gone seven games unbeaten and go into the clash on a high after beating Valencia 1-0 last weekend at the Mestalla.

That made it three league games without conceding a goal for the San Sebastian outfit, who have moved three points clear of the bottom three.

Prieto said: "It will be a very hard game against an opponent that has improved a lot since the change of manager. They looked very good against Villarreal but Atleti will have to work very hard if they want to take something from Anoeta.

"The last few games at home have been very good, we feel comfortable playing here and we hope to play a good game in front of our own fans."

Atletico have picked up four points from two games since the appointment of former midfielder Diego Simeone as manager last month but are still looking for their first away win of the season.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is enjoying life under the Argentinian and is hoping parent club Chelsea will agree to another loan period in the Spanish capital.

The Belgium international told the club website: "I am very happy at Atletico. I would like to stay here for another year and that is what I said to the Chelsea coaches on Sunday.

"Right now we are playing with more aggression, more dynamism and we are better organised. To have kept two clean sheets in the past two games is very important."

Simeone will have defenders Luis Perea and Alvaro Dominguez back from suspension but Tiago is unavailable after picking up a fifth yellow card.
