Ramos set for Granada return

Real Madrid fullback Sergio Ramos is poised for a recall against Granada in this weekend’s La Liga clash after fully overcoming his recent hamstring niggles.

According to AS, the Spanish international broke down with a hamstring injury during his side's swashbuckling 6-2 victory over Sevilla in December 2011 and the World Cup winner has been missing from action ever since

Madrid, who were shorn of Ramos' services in their Copa del Rey encounters against Ponferradina and Malaga, has now handed gaffer Jose Mourinho a major boost by declaring himself fit and ready for their home clash with Granada.

With central defender Pepe already due to miss out against Granada due to suspension, news of Ramos' return to fitness will be a welcome addition for Mourinho.

Madrid begin their first La Liga encounter of 2012 sitting pretty at the summit of the La Liga standings on 40 points, three in front of second placed Barcelona.
