Clemente to stay with Murcia
Javier Clemente has received the backing of the Real Murcia president to continue in the Nueva Condomina hotseat next season despite the club's relegation to the Segunda Division.
Clemente took charge of Murcia in March following the dismissal of Lucas Alcaraz but the hugely experienced former Spain and Serbia coach was unable to stop the promoted outfit from an immediate return to the second tier.
However, Murcia president Jesus Samper said: "Javier Clemente is the ideal coach to get us back up."
He added: "Next year's team has only one objective which is to get promoted to the Primera Division.
"Everything comes in threes, we have managed promotion on two occasions and we are going to achieve it again."
