Atletico secure Champions League berth
Atletico Madrid secured Champions League qualification with a game to spare following their 1-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruna.
Their two wins over fifth-placed Sevilla earlier in the season meant three points was all Javier Aguirre's side needed to guarantee fourth place, and they achieved that thanks to a Diego Forlan goal on the stroke of half-time.
