Iniesta: Title far from secured
Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta insists the La Liga title is far from being wrapped up.
The Catalan giants went a massive eight points clear at the top of the standings following a 1-0 win away to Villarreal while title challengers Real Madrid shockingly went down 1-0 at home to Sporting Gijon.
Speaking after the match to Elentorno.com, Iniesta played down talks of his side already securing the title.
"It was a very difficult match because Villarreal played very well and had chances to win," said the Spain international.
"It's an important step [towards the title] but there are still many points left to play for."
Barcelona face Shakhtar Donetsk next in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie at Camp Nou on Wednesday evening before hosting Almeria next weekend.
