The former Malaga player got proceedings under way for Real Madrid with his 26th minute strike, before completing a brace midway through the second half, with a goal from team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo sandwiched in between.
Impressed with how well Isco has integrated into the team, Ancelotti sung the 21-year old's praises to AS.
"I think Isco is doing really well, it seems like he’s been here for ages. He’s shown character, ability and quality," he noted.
"Isco can play in the middle or out wide. His defensive work should be on the wing but going forward he can go where he wants to. He knows how to find the best spot on the park."
French forward Karim Benzema was involved in Isco's opener, but Ancelotti hinted that he was looking for more effort from the former Olympique Lyon player.
"The fans whistled him [Benzema] a bit. The whole ground applauded [Angel] Di María. The fans appreciate hard work," Ancelotti said.
"In Benzema’s position you don’t work so hard. Hard work is applauded."
