The Uruguay international recently revealed he has become fed-up with what he believes to be unfair treatment by the media in the UK and is no longer "comfortable" at Anfield.
And on Monday, Suarez, who was perhaps feeling a little too comfortable with reporters in his homeland, reiterated his desire to ply his trade in pastures new - more specifically in Spain with Real Madrid.
"Of course, I would like to play with Ronaldo, he is a great player," Suarez said ahead of Uruguay's World Cup qualifier against Venezuela on Tuesday.
"You never know, but it is complicated.
"At the moment he is in Madrid and I am in Liverpool and I do not know what is going to happen."
Suarez is an integral part of Uruguay's strikeforce as he scored the winner in his country's 1-0 win over France last week. He remains a national hero back home but in England he has frequently rubbed people outside of Liverpool the wrong way following a high profile racial row against Manchester United's Patrice Evra as well as the more recent biting incident on Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic.
"I know I made a mistake in the incident with Ivanovic - it was me, my fault, and he didn't do anything to me," he said.
"I was just angry as I had given away a penalty for handball a few minutes earlier. I saw red and completely lost it.
"I can't really explain it and I am so sorry - but the reaction was amazing."
Suarez was banned for 10 games for biting Chelsea's Serbian defender last season - six of those games he still has to serve in the coming campaign.
Suarez joined Liverpool in January 2011 from Ajax and his contract runs until the summer of 2016.
Liverpool have always maintained Luis Suarez is not for sale.
