The Ivorian has not had the best of transitions away from England in the Ligue 1 and still misses the Barclays Premier League.
Over six years, he scored 59 goals for Chelsea but was deemed surplus to requirements last year and released from the club. Nevertheless, he is held in high regard in the Premier League as he demonstrated great industry and a hunger for goal during his time there.
His contributions were crucial for the Blues as he scored a vital away goal against Benfica to secure passage to the Champions League semi-final last season and could now find a way back in England if reports in the British press linking him with a move to the Reds or the Hammers prove true.
"I am flattered with all teams linked with me in England," he was quoted as saying according to Sky Sports.
"It means I am not a bad player as some people think. Teams such as Liverpool, West Ham, are very good teams."
However, Kalou's statements might not interest the two clubs as they have moved to secure new players over the week. Liverpool have already brought in another ex-Chelsea player in Daniel Sturridge while West Ham have also reinforced their squad with the acquisitions of Joe Cole and Marouane Chamakh.
Kalou has scored two goals from 13 appearances for the Ligue 1 side in the French top-tier this season.
