Nastasic joined the defending Premier League champions from Fiorentina over the summer and has surprisingly ousted Joleon Lescott as manager Roberto Mancini's preferred defender to partner captain Vincent Kompany in the heart of defence having already made 18 appearances for City this season.
The 19-year-old was rested in the midweek 3-0 win over Stoke and is set to return to the starting line up in this weekend's FA Cup match against Watford. Nastasic declared that the club will be going all out for victory at Etihad Stadium in a bid to fulfil their objective of winning all the competitions they are in.
"Of course it is very important for us to win; we want to win every competition we take part in," the defender declared.
"It is important that we try our best to win this competition as well as retain the Premier League title. I grew up watching the FA Cup and I've seen many games in the competition before.
"We all know that on the day anything can happen, so it is important that we are at our best.
"I always want to do my best and do the best I can for the team and that is what I will continue to do. Our main objective is to win on Saturday and to continue to go forward in this competition," he said.
Nastasic's excellent performance saw him land City's Player of the Month award in November and he expressed his delight over his seamless transition to English football.
"I am very happy with this award, particularly because it comes from the fans. When it comes from them it makes me really happy," he smiled.
"I am very happy here at the club and everything is going well for me, so I am very pleased."
