Bale, whose contract with Spurs expires in 2016, has been linked to several top clubs in recent times and the likes of Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Barcelona are all reportedly eager to sign the Wales international.
Spurs are understandably reluctant to part ways with yet another of their top assets following Luka Modric's transfer from the club to Real during the summer.
However, a move away from the Lilywhites could be on the cards for Bale following the 23-year-old's admission that he would like to play in another country.
"It would be nice to experience other leagues and other cultures. I have always said I am not afraid to go abroad," Bale told the Daily Mirror.
"If the time comes and a team that is right comes in for me, then I will look at it seriously. I will see what happens."
The Southampton academy graduate also declared that unlike several other players, he would not let fame get to his head no matter how big of a reputation he makes for himself and credits the people close to him for helping to keep him grounded.
"I never really think about being famous," he said.
"As long as you don't get too carried away, you are usually okay.
"You just go along with what is going along. You never really take too much notice.
"As soon as you realise how big you are, that is when you lose yourself.
"I just try to keep going. You just have to take the attention in your stride.
"The main thing is to concentrate on my football.
"My agent [Jonathan Barnett] has been great, we have been very close.
"And my family help me keep my feet on the ground. I have got a great group around me which helps me a great deal."
Bale will likely feature for Spurs when they take on West Ham in their next league fixture on Sunday.
