Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that he intends to rotate his squad in the upcoming Capital One Cup match against Chelsea, a policy to continue after the 2-1 victory over Newcastle in round three saw the likes of youngster Michael Keane, Marnick Vermijl and Scott Wootton given starts while Nick Powell and Ryan Tunncliffe came off the bench.

Buttner, who also started in the Champions League game last week against Braga, will be one of the senior players involved in the match against Chelsea, a tie which has been spiced up following the controversial win United recorded over the Blues over the weekend.

The 23-year-old, who joined United from Vitesse Arnhem in August in a deal worth up to a reported £4million, believes that he still has much to learn and reveals that Evra has been excellent in guiding him along so far.

Buttner told MUTV: "Patrice is a good player. If he plays that is okay.

"I look to him, I can see how he plays. I learn from that.

"If Patrice is not fit or he doesn't play I have to step up.

"I speak a lot with Patrice. He has been helping me a lot because we are in the same position.

"He tells me to enjoy it. He has played so many times at the highest level. He always goes over the game with me. That is good."

United's busy programme continues as they face Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday and then travel to Braga in the Champions League next week.
